Languages

Which language refusals, emails and exports are written in.

The platform speaks twelve languages: en, de, es, fr, pt-BR, id, ja, zh-TW, nl, he, ar and fa.

  • Refusals follow the request's Accept-Language header, and English without one.

  • Exports (PDFs, CSVs) follow ?lang= when given, else the signed-in user's language, else Accept-Language, else English.

  • Emails go out in each recipient's own language.

What people typed is never translated: names, titles, field labels, status and tag names come back as they were written. Values the API defines — "open", "admin", an action like "created" — are stable identifiers in English; translate them on your side if you show them.
